Pink and orange lie the village walls,
rosy pink in the morning light,
amber orange in the evening light.
Despite their severe and righteous outlines,
the eye reveals a sensuous turn
best seen when silhouetted against the fiery sky.
In the deep afternoons
light and dust shine like herbal potions,
as the sun sinks they turn into starlit broths.
