Welcome

A taste so strong and true,
the evening will pass slowly,
I hold a coffee cup in my hands
as if to warm them,
yet the atmosphere is warm already.
We blow coffee words out of our mouths,
small sips, long conversations.
Generous as a coffee pot on the fire
all set, ready to brew for the friendly traveler.
Exchanging warm words
the night falling, fast flowing
we forget, letting the coffee cool at the bottom of our cups.
But not to worry,
cold coffee serves as memory of hot coffee...
